Under the exemplary leadership of Valerie Julliand, the Resident Coordinator of the UN in Indonesia, our Disability Inclusive initiatives has gained fruits, thanks to a dedicated team of professionals. Afke Bootsman, our Head of Resident Coordinator's Office (RCO) Indonesia, has been instrumental with her visionary guidance, while Arben Sejdaj, the Leave No One Behind Officer, has led implementation of Programmatic initiatives and coordination of multiple studies, incorporating human rights, Gender, and LNOB lenses in every aspect. Eunjoo Lee, as the Programme Officer, has led implementation of operational initiatives, advancing ICT/Digital Accessibility, and designing and piloting organizational changes. This website has been developed by Eunjoo Lee and Romi Mardian from the RCO.
The success of this initiative is also a testament to the dynamic leadership and support within our various working groups and from different agencies. Tendy Gunawan from ILO has been a cornerstone, making valuable contributions as the DI focal point. Miklos Gaspar, who is the chair of UN Communication Group has passionately engaged all agencies to commit to ensure all our communications are accessible, embodying our inclusive ethos. The exceptional work by Heba Kholif, a former DCO colleague and consultant, in digital accessibility cannot be overstated.
The Supply Working Group under the able leadership by Marini Manseor from WHO, the ICT Working Group led by Romi Mardian, and the Admin Working Group led by Dini Ratih Larasati of UNICEF, and the HR Working Group under the guidance of Muhammad Abdi Resa of WHO and Jyotshna Malla of UNOPS, have been crucial in their respective domains. Additionally, the Disability Inclusion Advocates Network, with its 22 advocates from various organizations, has played an important role in advancing our mission.
Finally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the UNCT for their unwavering support in gradually turning the Disability Inclusion Strategy into a tangible reality. Our accomplishments would have not been possible without the engagement and expertise of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in Indonesia. This journey of collaboration and collective effort stands as a testament to what we can achieve together for a more inclusive world.
