In 2022, the CRPD conducted a comprehensive review of Indonesia's progress in upholding the rights of persons with disabilities. In its evaluation, the committee offered crucial recommendations aimed at addressing various issues related to disability inclusion and the rights of persons with disabilities.
In response, UN Indonesia has developed a strategic matrix that categorizes these recommendations into different themes and aligns them with relevant SDGs, as well as the Indonesian National Plan for Persons with Disabilities (RIPD). This matrix also identifies the UN agencies responsible for working on each recommendation and their respective government counterparts. It provides a roadmap for implementing these recommendations and serves as a valuable monitoring tool to track the progress made in ensuring the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in Indonesia.
