Joint Traineeship Programme
UN Indonesia is committed to ensuring that its own makeup reflects the diverse populations it serves. As part of achieving this, it launched a UN-wide traineeship programme designed to help young people from all backgrounds gain valuable experience and contribute to the organization's mission. RCO, UNIC, IOM, UN Women, UNDP, UNFPA, UNODC, UNAIDS, and UNHCR signed up for the traineeship programme in 2023.
The programme’s goal is to increase inclusiveness within the UN in Indonesia with a strong LNOB focus, and in doing so create meaningful opportunities for youth from across the country. The programme specifically targets:
Persons with disabilities
Low-Income Families
People living in rural, disadvantaged regions and coastal areas
Other LNOB groups as defined by the agencies
Within 2023-2024, 50 trainees are expected to be recruited from the above-identified groups. The aim is to achieve gender parity.
